YEOVIL police are taking part in a special football match to raise money for the Flying Colours Appeal.
Yeovil District Hospital beat manager PC Mark Hurst has organised an emergency services team to play against a representative team from Yeovil Town Football Club to raise money for the hospital's charity.
Flying Colours is the £1 million public appeal to transform the patient environment at Yeovil District Hospital.
The match will take place on May 9 at 6.30pm on the Westlands Sports Centre, Yeovil.
PC Hurst said: "Working at the hospital I thought it would good to raise money for their charity."We are not sure who will be coming from Yeovil Town Football Club yet but we hope some of the first team players may put in an appearance."
Tickets will be sold on the gate and are £5 for adults, £3 for children and concessions with under fives getting in free.
There will also be a raffle on the day with prizes donated by local businesses.
