DESPITE the best efforts of the weather forecasters, the rain stayed away from RNAS Yeovilton as more than 360 runners made their way to the start line of the Easter Bunny 10km.

THERE was a successful trip to Bournemouth for the Yeovil Town Road Running Club’s Dorset contingent, as Mark Hann broke the 40 minute barrier for the first time as he completed the 10km in an excellent time of 39m50.

THE Easter Bunny 10km on Monday at RNAS Yeovilton will see an emotional reunion for members of the 1977 Birmingham University Cross-country team - who will be meeting for the first time in over 30 years to run in memory of their friend Angela Deegan who died of a malignant melanoma in June 2009 at the age of 51.
