Counties 2 Tribute Somerset: Taunton Warriors 41-15 Huish Tigers
TAUNTON Warriors claimed bragging rights in the town's local derby match at the weekend against Huish Tigers.
In the Counties 2 Tribute Somerset division match, the Warriors came out on top 41-15 over Huish Tigers.
The Warriors were on top early and defended well throughout the first half which laid the platform for them to run in 17-points to nothing at halftime.
Huish kicked off for the second half and the Warriors showed there intent by going on the attack however it was the visitors who crossed first.
Warriors extended the lead shortly after but Tigers centre Gailey was then rewarded for all his hard work and he showed his pace and ability to score a try for the Tigers which again was not converted.
From this point though the hosts were in control and ran in a further two tries to seal a very convincing 41-15 win.
Huish Tigers had done their homework on the Warriors and used all of their skills to slow the game down and in the process giving away twenty penalties in the game.
For Taunton Warriors it is Imperial in Bristol next week which will be a very tough match in Bristol so we look forward to a good result.
