YEOVIL College is offering a Rugby Coaching Masterclass for talented sportswomen.
The college has recently achieved Beacon College status for rugby of which only five have been awarded in the country by the RFU.
By helping to develop sporting potential the college has produced many international performers through its Sports Academy programme.
The women’s team are currently the National Knockout Cup champions and achieved a quarter-final place at the Rosslyn Park Sevens tournament narrowly losing to a Romanian invitational side.
The college currently boasts several players who represent the England Colleges Women’s National team and has produced players at Under-20 and full international level.
The coaching session is aimed at Year 10 and 11 girls who wish to develop their rugby potential.
The session will be held at Yeovil College on Tuesday, April 23, from 4pm to 6pm.
Coaching is provided by highly qualified and experienced coaches who have worked with representative teams and professional sportspeople.
George Cooper is a Level 4 coach and currently an RFU coach mentor having previously coached Bridgwater and Albion and Ivel Barbarians.
Former Saracens prop forward Andrew Roda has worked with Somerset and South West Schools at U18 level and is currently the forwards coach to the England Colleges Men’s Team.
