A TEAM of three Yeovil boxers were in action at Sturminster Newton over the weekend.

Joe Roberts, 12, had a fourth successive win when he out-pointed Callum James, of Bridgwater, in a 32-kilo bout.

Lloyd Roberts, 16, out-pointed Billy Watson, of Sturminster Newton, to claim his second victory in a 51-kilo out.

But Kieran Jordan, 17, despite putting on a good show in a 57-kilo bout lost on a majority decision to Jean-Mark Parry, of Sturminster.

These youngsters are among a new crop of talented boxers coming through at Yeovil Amateur Boxing Club.
