YEOVIL Super League darts team enjoyed its best win of the season recently by thrashing Keynsham 28-8.
Captain Darren White said: “We have actually played far better this season but most of the games in this match went to all five legs and thankfully our finishing was outstanding.
“The team is very confident having also just won the team knockout competition in Bath which was a tremendous achievement.
“We are now second in the league with a really great chance of winning it.”
Most tons on the night went to Paul Copeland with nine, while Saul Harvey gained the highest shout with 88 and man-of-the-match for the second time in a row was Chris Cox with an average of 23.18.
Individual scores and averages were: N. Cheney won 3-2 (17.12); C. Cox won 3-2 (23.18); P. Copeland lost 2-3 (19.80); D. Stubbs won 3-1 (20.85); D. White won 3-1 (22.83); P. Prentice won 3-1 (21.82).
P. Hill lost 2-3 (18.06); S. Harvey won 3-1 (20.54); J. Humphries won 3-1 (16.27); M.Humphries won 3-2 (15.82); J. Smith won 3-2 (18.94); W. Singleton won 3-0 (21.16).
Winning pairs were J. Smith and P. Copeland, W. Singleton and D White, P Prentice and C Cox, P Hill and D Stubbs, and N Cheney and M Humphries.
Yeovil’s next game is at home at the Yeovil Labour Club on February 27.
