THERE is a double-header of racing at Wincanton Racecourse this week with meetings on Thursday and Friday (March 11-12).
To celebrate the double header, the track is offering Friday entrance of £5 per person! Plus the chance to win a Mini Cooper.
For both days, racegoers can win a Mini Cooper D Clubman via a creative on-course promotion supported by race sponsors, Higos Insurances Services.
A Higos Marquee will house a number of dice tables, and at £1 a go with all proceeds to Help for Heroes, racegoers will be invited to throw six dice.
A full house of sixes wins the fully insured Mini for 12 months.
Friday’s extravaganza on March 12 is the opportunity to come racing for £5 (Grandstand Badge) – saving £8. Racegoers will also have opportunity to upgrade to the Premier Enclosure for a further £5 - again saving £8.
Wincanton’s managing director, Steven Clarke, said: “Our loyal racegoers are in for a treat this week – we’re got competive races, an outstanding entrance offer and a £15,000 Mini Cooper up for grabs. We very much anticipate a full house!”
Higos Insurances Services marketing manager, Neil Wyatt, said: “We are delighted to be associated with Wincanton Racecourse.
“Horseracing is a fantastic sport that attracts a wide audience that matches our services criteria. We’re thrilled to be able to support Help for Heroes via our Mini promotion and hope a racegoer strikes gold.”
Race details: Thursday, March 11: Gates open at 12noon with the first race at 2.30pm and last race at 5.10pm.
Friday, March 12: Gates open at 12noon. First race off at 2pm with the last race at 5.30pm.
