YEOVIL Boxing Club’s heavyweight fighter Jose Campasano enjoyed his third successive victory at the weekend.

Campasano fought Steve Collins at Aldershot and had no trouble in winning the bout in the first round.

Yeovil’s Jon Vance lost out to Lewis Van Potch in a 64kilo bout in Gloucestershire over the weekend on a majority decision.

But there was better news for the experienced Justin Hicks who beat Danny Clewes on points. Hicks is something of a “veteran” having been boxing for Yeovil for the past 14 years and is currently on a good run of form with five wins out of his last six bouts.

Down at Barnstaple there was disappointment for Lloyd Roberts when he lost a 54kilo bout on a majority decision to Steve Edwards.
