SOMERSET captain, Chris Rogers described the draw with Warwickshire as ‘very disappointing’ after rain washed out days three and four with his side in a dominant position at Edgbaston.

The visitors had set Warwickshire 322 to win a pitch offering some uneven bounce, but torrential rain prevented any further play and the match was abandoned as a draw.

"It was very disappointing," said Rogers. "On a wicket that was getting harder to bat on, we felt 320 was definitely a winning total.

"There were a few concerns about the pitch. The groundsman didn't quite get it the way he wanted to, though I think they had a similar-looking wicket for their first game that didn't play anywhere near as badly.

"I have played on some excellent wickets here so this was different, but fortunately there were no real incidents."
