AUSTRALIA have regained the Ashes, after beating England by an innings and 41 runs in the third Test in Perth.

Josh Hazlewood claimed 5-48 in England's second innings, including the wicket of Craig Overton, as the tourists were all out for 218.

Overton, clearly in pain due to a cracked rib, came in at 196-7, and lasted 21 balls, hitting a couple of boundaries on his way to a score of 12.

He became Hazlewood's fifth victim, however, as his shot over gully was snared by Usman Khawaja.

The result gives Australia an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series, ahead of the fourth Test, which starts at 11.30pm on December 25.

It is questionable whether Overton will play any further part in the series, given his injury and the two remaining Tests being dead rubbers.
