SOMERSET'S new signing Cameron Bancroft could be the subject of "significant sanctions", according to Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland.
In a press conference held this evening (Tuesday), Sutherland said only three players - Bancroft, captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner - knew about the plan to alter the condition of the ball, with coach Darren Lehmann absolved of any blame and set to continue in his role.
The aforementioned trio have been suspended by the board and will depart South Africa tomorrow.

Sutherland went on to say the board are "considering significant sanctions" against the three players, which could yet affect Bancroft's position with Somerset.
The club have announced they are to await the results of Cricket Australia's internal investigation before commenting further, but a lengthy ban imposed on Bancroft would put Somerset in a difficult position.
