GARY Johnson hopes to bolster his Yeovil Town squad before the visit of promotion-chasing Burnley this weekend.
Miller and Ralls returned to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff respectively when their deals expired before Yeovil's 4-0 FA Cup victory over Leyton Orient at the weekend, and Johnson is working to get them over the line before they are back in league action on Saturday (January 11)
He said: “They're both still out there; it's just the politics of their clubs along with the situation of their clubs. Both lads have told me they'd like to be a part of our season.
“With Forest and Ishmael we've got to wait and see if there is any offers for him and I'm sure Cardiff think it's better for Joe to have the experience of games.
“They're certainly not definite noes but they're also not definite yeses.”
The visit of the Lancashire outfit comes on the back of that superb performance against Orient the cup.
Two goals from James Hayter put Yeovil's league woes behind them as he scored either side of half time against the League One high flyers at Huish Park.
Joel Grant scored a neat volley between Hayter's two strikes before an all-round fine display was capped off by substitute Kieffer Moore.
And while Johnson is in the market for a striker, he praised Hayter after the win.
“He looked dangerous and sharp,” said Johnson.
“What we asked for at half-time was a couple of good balls into the box and it was a good ball from Liam Davis, who I thought played very well today, and a good finish from Grant and then Kevin Dawson hit a great cross which Hayter got on the end of.
“I did not want to take him off especially when you're on a hat-trick because you don't get too many chances over the years but I wanted to give Moore a confidence boost, and Adam Morgan.
“Morgan nearly scored with his first touch and Kieffer did score when he was put in so there is a lot to come from them - they are only young lads so we need to bring them out of their shells quickly.”
Yeovil have been drawn away to Southampton in the FA Cup fourth round. The game will be played on the weekend of January 25/26.
