Yeovil Town's answer to Lethal Weapon double act

YEOVIL Town defender Terrell Forbes has likened his previous defensive partnership with Terry Skiverton as being like that of Lethal Weapon movie double act Danny Glover and Mel Gibson.

Forbes, speaking in the Yeovil’s matchday programme The Glovers, has admitted that he found it difficult to adjust to the long-standing skipper suddenly becoming the manager.

He and Skiverton had been Yeovil’s regular central-defensive pairing for three seasons, but that all changed when previous boss Russell Slade left Huish Park and was replaced by Skivo.

“It was hard because me and him (Skiverton) together were a bit like Danny Glover and Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. We were a team.

“But when Skivo walked into the dressing room wearing a Hugo Boss belt, I knew that he was no longer my team-mate – he was the gaffer.

“It was a hard switch because we’d been mates on and off the field and we always used to help each other out.

“Now he’s the big boss man, but it’s working out well. I’ve got huge respect for him and he’s doing a great job.”
