YEOVIL Town fans will be looking at the Sunday papers today with a big smile as the sports pages confirm that the Glovers now stand 12th in the Coca-Cola League One.
The Glovers 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers yesterday has elevated themselves up to midway in the division - a fantastic achievement by Terry Skiverton's side.
The Yeovil boss admitted that his side had ''rode their luck'' in the first-half at the Memorial Stadium when Rovers wasted a host of chances.
And then his stirring half-time team-talk fell on deaf ears as Rovers broke the deadlock in the 46th minute through Chris Dickson.
But then the tenacity of the Yeovil side shone through and Andy Welsh's set pieces played havoc with the Rovers defence.
First Jon Obika, who had just been brought on as a substitute, equalised in the 61st minute when he headed home a Welsh free-kick.
And then three minutes later Forbes was on hand to stab the ball past Rovers keeper Mikkel Andersen from another Welsh cross for his first ever goal in more than 300 league appearances.
The 1,000 Yeovil fans in the 7,812 crowd were able to go home happy.
Now the Glovers can travel to Elland Road next Saturday and face League One leaders Leeds United in plenty of confidence.
Six games unbeaten now and the Glovers are on a roll.
