YEOVIL Town striker Dean Bowditch said it was "frustrating" watching the sidelines on Saturday as the Glovers missed several golden opportunities to break the deadlock.
The Glovers came up against an in-form Southend United keeper Steve Mildenhall, once of Yeovil Town himself, who pulled off some terrific saves to deny Terry Skiverton's side.
In the end it took Bowditch himself just a few minutes of his introduction to finally get the crucial goal that defeated Southend who had been reduced to ten-men following a sending-off on the half-hour mark.
But he admitted to the BBC that he was frustrated at having to watch the chances go begging from his place on the bench.
"It was so frustrating because you watch games like that all the time, where one team dominates the game, and the other team go down to ten men which means they just sit back, yet from set plays they look very dangerous," he said.
"You're sitting on the sidelines thinking they are going to nick a goal here, and you don't want that to happen.
"Luckily enough we defended very well and it was a great team performance.
"I was lucky enough to stick the ball in the back of the net, but to be fair we could have had four or five."
