YEOVIL Town fans will have an interest in next year's World Cup Finals - thanks to former Glovers' player Rory Fallon.
The striker - who made six appearances for Yeovil in the 2004-05 season - scored the vital goal which ensured New Zealand's qualification for the World Cup 2010.
He scored the only goal of the game in New Zealand's 1-0 win over Bahrain at the weekend - enough to send them to South Africa and now Fallon, who currently plays in the Championship with Plymouth Argyle, has become a national hero for the Kiwis.
Fallon joined Yeovil on loan from Swindon Town on February 22, 2005, and within four hours of arriving at Huish Park he had got himself on the scoresheet.
He arrived midway through the Glovers Coca-Cola League Two championship winning season of 2004-05.
He made his debut on the same day as joining Yeovil in a 4-3 win over Scunthorpe United at Huish Park.
Goals from Bartosz Tarachulski and Lee Johnson saw Yeovil level at 2-2 and then Fallon was introduced in the 70th minute as a substitute for Tarachulski.
Fallon stormed in for a trademark powerful header to give Yeovil the lead in the 82nd minute and then Arron Davies added a fourth in the 86th minute, before Scunthorpe got one back in added-time.
Following his spell with the Glovers, Fallon returned to Swindon where he then joined Swansea City.
He is now enjoying his time at Plymouth Argyle and is probably already looking forward to travelling to South Africa next summer.
