TWO of Yeovil Town’s greatest all-time goalscorers go head-to-head tomorrow as managers of rival clubs in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
Mickey Spencer takes his Sherborne Town team to face Wellington, who are co-managed by Patmore.
Only six players have scored more than 100 goals for the Glovers since the end of the Second World War and both Patmore and Spencer are members of that exclusive club.
Spencer made 276 appearances and scored 102 goals for Yeovil between 1989-95.
Patmore arrived at Huish Park in the summer of 1995 and went on score 140 goals in 290 games before he left the Glovers in the summer of 2001.
Spencer is currently Yeovil’s fifth all-time leading goalscorer, while Patmore is third behind Dave Taylor who netted 285 goals between 1960-69 and Dick Plumb with 150 which were scored in two
spells with the Glovers in 1968-70 and 1974-78.
Spencer will arrive at Wellington to get some revenge tomorrow after Patmore enjoyed a 4-2 success at Sherborne last month.
