DAVID Webb this week stepped down as chief executive of Yeovil Town - claiming he had been hounded out of the job after only seven weeks.
And club chairman John Fry has blasted fans for their personal attacks on the former Chelsea star and ex-Glovers manager.
Speaking on BBC Somerset Sound's Breakfast Show today(Tuesday), Mr Fry said: "I'd like to thank David Webb for what he's achieved in his short stint as chief executive - for his vision, inspiration, and the way that he has already progressed the club.
"When you get personal abuse and innuendos like David has received, you do begin to wonder what you have let yourself in for."
