YEOVIL Town's long search for a number one keeper looks set to end on a positive note this week.
Asmir Begovic is expected to sign a three-month loan deal with the Glovers from FA Cup winners Portsmouth, although it is thought that that could be extended to cover the whole of the 2008-09 season.
Yeovil have been looking for a keeper ever since Steve Mildenhall left Huish Park for League One rivals Southend United earlier in the summer.
It has always been thought that Begovic, who spent a two-game period on loan at Huish Park last season, was Yeovil manager Russell Slade's top target.
Begovic played for the Glovers in Saturday's 1-0 pre-season victory at Weymouth and is expected to sort out his loan move later this week in time for this weekend's big season opener at Huish Park against Walsall.
