Interesting Facts

The Wicket formally known as Wonstone Farm was owned by the Hutchins family for over 100 years. Originally a three bedroom single storey home built in stone. The upstairs was built in brick some time later.

The chunky window frames and the wood panels upstairs are not original to the house and would have come from a more substantial manor type house.

The kitchen/diner was added later again and was used as an animal shelter and work room.

The steel reinforcement for the air raid shelter was put up in the 1940's.
