PEOPLE in Somerset are once again being given the opportunity to attend the county’s largest careers fair, organised by Connect South West, Somerset’s leading careers education, information, advice and guidance service.

The event, the biggest of its kind in Somerset, is being held at the Junction 24 Conference Centre, near Bridgwater, on Wednesday, October 20.

It follows the huge success of last year’s event, which more than 4,000 visitors attended.

The event has been running for more than 17 years and each year has grown in size and popularity.

The fair will showcase representatives from more than 80 organisations from a wide range of employers, professional bodies, educational and training providers.

Connect South West chief executive, Rachel Bendall, said: “Last year’s event saw a record attendance and we hope this event will be equally successful.

“These events give people the opportunity to gain valuable careers information directly from consultants representing industry, education, training, colleges, sixth forms and universities.

“More than 80 exhibitors are booked and more than 4,000 visitors are expected to attend on the night.”

The Connect South West Careers Fair runs from 3.30pm to 8pm.

It is free to attend and is open to anybody in Somerset.
