THE newly launched Club Kongo is back at the Creative Innovation Centre, Taunton.
This highly successful night gives punters an explosive night featuring 2 live acts, vinyl DJ and freak out films and visuals.
The next club on Saturday, October 27, bill consists of Bournemouth finest garage rock stompers ‘The Electric Shakes’.
This three piece will be dishing up more dirty riffs from their new LP Electrohypnosis’. If the MC5 and Motorhead had a baby and let it run feral it would be looking for an Electric Shakes party. Support are Bristol’s Husky Tones. This boy girl duo hit with the force of a much bigger unit.
A stand-up drummer also delivers keening vocals, and a crunchy, dexterous, raging guitarist – they’ll be playing some punk-blues tunes from their latest LP ‘Who Will I Turn To Now’. Spinning vintage volcanic vinyl will be DJ Luther ‘Big Dog’ Dixon.
Club Kongo hold it’s 6th Surf Garage night on December 1, featuring from Bristol The Hawkmen and surf music from Palooka 5.
