A FIRE crew was called out to reports of a car on fire at a busy roundabout this afternoon.

An engine from Yeovil was sent to the incident on the A303 at Sparkford at 3.33pm.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Upon arrival crews found one car which had a small fire in the engine compartment.

"However it had already been extinguished.

"There was 10 per cent damage to the engine and bonnet and the fire was caused by an electrical fault.

"Crews made the vehicle safe with small tools."
