SOMERSET is set for sunshine across the county today once the early risers have got past the cold start.

In their south west summary, Met Office said: "Despite the chilly start, it will be a clear and mainly sunny day.

"Some cloud may bubble up at times, but it will stay dry with light winds."

The temperature is set to peak at around 15C, before falling to a minimum of 2C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "Tuesday will be another fine day with plenty of sunshine and light winds. It will stay dry and feel slightly warmer than recently."

The maximum temperature is due to be 17C.
