DESPITE a sunny day ahead temperatures will continue to fall overnight, plummeting to -3C later on.

In their south west summary, Met Office said: "After a cold start, the rest of the day should stay dry and sunny for most.

"A little cloud may build in the east at times, although there should still be plenty of sunny spells. Feeling chilly despite the sunshine."

The maximum temperature is due to be 10C, before falling to a minimum of -3C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "Wednesday will be a mix of sunny spells and the odd shower, most likely in the south. Breezy around the coast, although feeling less cold than of late."

The temperature is set to peak at 13C.
