THE phone rang and within a millisecond a distinctive Australian voice said: "That's a Taunton number 01823..am I right?"
The celebrity who was pinpointing the dialling code for Taunton was none other than Somerset's very own adopted son Peter Andre.
He loves the West Country and Somerset as he himself explained he spends a lot of time here indeed his wife comes from Taunton and in his own words Somerset 'feels like a second home'.
The man himself will be on his way home, well as far as Bath next year, for his Celebrating 25 Years Tour.
This will be special tour focussing on his 25 years in show business and the music industry.
It will include all the hits such as "Mysterious Girl", "Flava", "I Feel You", "Mysterious Girl (2004)", "Insania" and "Behind Closed Doors" (which is a personal song for Peter).
Speaking about the 2019 tour, Peter said: "Doing this tour means a lot to me. I can't quite believe it has been that long.
"I have been recording for 25 years but in the business for 28 years. I remember being one of the opening acts for Madonna when she came to Australia.
"This tour will mean so much to me. It will take people back to the beginning of my career and the songs and I will dress appropriately to each decade before bringing it up to date with the suit and tie.
"It will focus on the 10 top five UK singles I had plus the three UK number ones. I mean that is 13 songs right there. But what I will do will be a meddle of songs which people might not even remember I sung.
"I am so grateful to still be performing and to be doing what I love.
"When I started 20 years ago, I was living in a flat above Ant and Dec. I remember them banging on the ceiling with brooms as I was making too much noise. But look where they are today and how big they are.
"It is so good to being doing what we love."
Peter admitted he never believed all those years ago he would be still singing today.
He explained he did doubt himself during his career but he said this was normal and if anyone said they did not then they were just doing it for bravado.
Peter said: "When I was 13 years old I had a vision I would sell out Wembley Arena but I was in Australia and how was that going to happen.
"But then 10 years later I sold it out. I had a vision I would sell out the O2Arena and I did.
"I had a dream of selling out Wembley Stadium but this has not happen yet. I have had some vision which haven't come true."
This Celebrating 25 Years Tour will be helped by his fans.
Peter has been on Twitter asking his fans what songs he should be singing on the tour.
It is delighted with the response from people. He explained he does his own tweets and does not have his management team tweet on his behalf.
Peter said he did his own tweets as his fans devoted their own time to tweet him then why should he not devote his time to reply.
One thing which Peter has not lost is his Australian accent.
I asked him how he has managed to keep it despite living in the UK for so many years.
He replied: "When I go back to Australia they say I am sounding like a pom, look at you you pommy sounding pom.
"And when I am in the UK they say oh you sound like an Australian."
Sometimes you cannot win.
But Peter will not doubt be winning with his tour in 2019.
