AN elderly woman's bank card was used to withdraw money after her purse was stolen from her handbag.

Police have issued CCTV images of a man and a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

The incident took place somewhere in High Street, Wells, at around 4pm on Wednesday, November 21.

Her card was then used to take money from her account.

The man police believe may have information about the crime is described as white, of stocky build, with short dark hair and a short dark beard and moustache. He was wearing a grey hooded top with a black padded body warmer over the top and blue jeans.

The woman is described as white, of medium build, with blonde hair and dark roots in a ponytail. She was wearing a black coat with a black fur trim on the hood and black leggings.
