CCTV images have been released of two men police would like to speak with after a man was left with a broken jaw following an assault.

Police are looking to identify and speak to the two men in connection with the incident which took place in the foyer of a Tesco store in Station Road, Weston-super-Mare at around 6pm on December 11.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the 58-year-old man was kicked and punched in the head during the assault and suffered broken jaw.

"We’d like to identify and speak to two men in connection with an assault on another man at a supermarket in Weston-super-Mare

"One of the men in the images is described as in his mid-twenties, with a dark beard and he was wearing a green Diesel beanie hat, a black jacket and Adidas jogging bottoms with white stripes down the side.

"The second man is also in his mid-twenties, with a moustache and possibly a beard and he was wearing a cream scarf under a dark jacket, a green beanie hat and jeans.

"If you know who these men are, please call PC Matthew Quick in Investigations on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5218274151.

"No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers."
