A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital and traffic on the M5 is queueing back to Somerset after a crash closed the motorway near Exeter.

Commuters are being diverted due to crash investigation work between junction 28 (Cullompton) and junction 29 (Exeter/Honiton).

Congestion is stretching back into Somerset, towards junction 25 for Taunton, with traffic exiting causing delays on the slip road and back onto the motorway.
