TICKETS are on sale now to see Arsenal footballing legends take to the field with an all-star cast of celebrities.

The Arsenal FC Charity XI will be facing off against a charity from Chard, Single Yellow Rose.

The clash will take place on August 11 at the home of Chard Town FC.

Currently, comedian Russell Howard, actor Ralph Little, and former Arsenal forward Omer Riza have been confirmed to be taking part.

Negotiations are also underway to try and bring 90s goal-machine Ian Wright to South Somerset, along with a few other star names.

Single Yellow Rose was a charity set up by Lee and Daisy Hutchings after their daughter Belle was stillborn.

This is just the latest in a long list of fundraisers carried out by the group.

Interest in the event pique after it featured in the latest edition of the News.

Tickets have since gone of sale, and are going fast.

Daisy Hutchings said: "Since the tickets went live last night (Friday 9.30pm) we have been inundated with people's excitement about our event.

"We have sold more than 150 tickets in 12 hours. Tickets are still selling like hot cakes this morning, we never realised how big this could get.

"Its phenomenal. We are very humbled by people’s support and reaction to this event."

Adults tickets are available for £5, and come with a free souvenir programme.

Daisy added: "The football club are really gonna benefit from this event. Hopefully it will put chard on the map."

More names for the all-star charity match will be confirmed in the future.

The home side representing Single Yellow Rose will be captained by Lee Hutchings, and feature some of the charity's local supporters.

A meet and greet event is also being planned so Chard residents chat one on one with A-list celebrities and Arsenal legends.
