THE Taunton councillor responsible for housing services has resigned his position for 'personal reasons'.
Cllr Terry Beale, who will remain a councillor, is no longer the portfolio holder for housing services.
The councillor responsible for housing covers issues such as council housing, housing strategy, affordable housing, and homelessness housing options.
Cllr Beale, who is a Conservative representative of Killams and Mountfield, will be replaced by fellow conservative Stephen Martin-Scott, who represents Manor and Wilton.
Cllr Beale said: "It's for personal reasons.
"It has nothing to do with politics or the council.
"Just personal circumstances and I needed to walk away."
