A woman who failed to ensure her son went to school in Swindon regularly between June 14 and July 17 last year has been fined £440.
She did not appear at court and Swindon magistrates found the case proved in her absence. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a £120 bill for prosecution costs and ordered to pay £44 towards victim services.
