THE M5 Northbound between J20 Clevedon and J19 Gordano Services has re-opened following a crash involving a car and a lorry earlier this morning.

There has been heavy traffic on the M5 Northbound for those heading up toward Weston-super-Mare and Bristol following the incident.

The M5 northbound was closed for several hours after a lorry carrying 12 tonnes of milk jack-knived just after 9am.

It blocked the northbound carriageway and some of its wheels were stuck in mud.

However following a lengthy clearing and recovery process the road has now been re-opened, however there is still some traffic hold ups as of 2pm due to the earlier work.
