LAWRENCES’ forthcoming Spring Fine Art auction in Crewkerne comprises over 2200 lots across three days of sales, with estimates ranging from as little as £100 to over £25,000.

Within the silver selection on Tuesday, April 9, there is a George II Scottish snuff mull (£700-900) and a pair of George III cast silvergilt candlesticks by Thomas Pitts (1806) from a London collection, estimated at £5,000-7,000. A separate private collection will comprise over 200 lots, including a rare early George I dram cup (£600-800) Tursday April 11 begins with hundreds of lots of jewellery and highlights will be a black opal and diamond pendant (£3,200-4,000) and a gold and gem set necklace by Cartier (£3,000-4,000). Within Decorative Arts, a Dunhill 'Aquarium' table lighter is guided at £2,000-3,000. A pretty pair of Swansea plates is estimated at £400-600.

On Friday April 12, there are 275 lots of pictures. A 19th Century view of the Bay of Palermo by Francesco Lojacono (£20,000-30,000) and a 1900/02 oil by Henry Scott Tuke (£18,000-25,000) lead a wide selection.

Furniture completes the day and a Regency mahogany chair in the manner of Thomas Hope is expected to make £1,500-2,500, then a good selection of carpets and rugs concludes a week of busy sales.
