BRIDGWATER'S Blake Joinery business is celebrating its 30th anniversary serving the town this year.

The specialist company is a leading manufacturer of bespoke joinery, manufacturing a range of products in its St John Street workshop including specialist fittings, bars and counters, reception desks and windows.

Supplying a range of clients throughout the UK from national and regional contractors to individuals, the business has delivered a turnover of more than £1m for each last three years.

In its 30th year the company will see this grow further, with turnover set to reach £1.35m.

The companies employs 50 staff with a large proportion of the joiners coming through the company training scheme with many starting out as apprentices.

Currently the company employs one apprentice and will take on a further apprentice this autumn.

General manager Ben Williams said: “Having been with the company for almost 15 years, I am delighted to see how the business has developed into being one of the largest in its field and the company of choice for bespoke joinery by some of the largest contractors within the construction industry.

"To have reached this anniversary and to see our turnover grow, demonstrates the quality of the work that we produce.”
