A SOMERSET man is due in court today (Thursday) charged with murder following the death of another man in the county.
David James Harris, 26, of Merlin Drive, Wells, will appear at Yeovil Magistrates' Court.
He is accused of killing Jonathan Roper, 26, at a property in Merlin Drive, Wells, on March 23.
Harris was charged by detectives last night before being remanded in custody.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "Officers from our Major Crime Investigation Team charged David James Harris, of Merlin Drive, with Jonathan’s murder."
He added that Harris is also charged with Section 18 wounding in relation to the assault of another man, aged 40, during the same incident.
