POLICE are asking the public to help trace a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault in Somerset.
Detectives believe John Finn may still be in the county or possibly in Devon or Cornwall.
They wish to speak to him about an assault on a man in his 20s at a house party in Priory Road, Wells, last Sunday (May 26).
The man sustained injuries to the back of his neck and right shoulder blade and was described as stable after receiving treatment in hospital.
John Finn is described by police as aged 44, white, of medium to large build, about 6ft 2in tall, with a shaven head.
He has the name 'Alice' tattooed on his right wrist and a scar on the outside of his right forearm.
Devon and Cornwall Police have already carried out searches in the Sidmouth and Cranbook areas.
