CHILDREN at a Somerset nursery had a narrow escape when their nursery was struck by lightning during yesterda's Storm Miguel.
A "major lighting strike" crashed into the premises of Ready Steady Go nursery in Worle, Weston-super-Mare.
Firefighters tweeted that "Thankfully all children had just left."
The building suffered "severe structural damage" after the flash of lightning smashed through the tiles.
Reports say that one person was taken to hospital and another was treated at the scene.
The bursery has launched a fundraising appeal to pay to repair the damage.
