ENJOY the opportunity to see Dr Justin Newland in Glastonbury this weekend.

Somerset author Dr. Justin Newland’s fascination with the supernatural inspired his debut novel, The Genes of Isis, a tale of love, destruction and ethereal power set beneath Ancient Egyptian skies.

Taking place at Glastonbury Library, Justin will discuss his writing and explore why Ancient Egypt is known as ‘The Mother and Father of All Things.’ There will also be an opportunity to buy a signed copy of the book.

After a long career in I.T., Justin’s love of literature finally seduced him and, in 2006, he found his way to the creative keyboard to write his first novel.

His second is The Old Dragon’s Head, a historical fantasy and supernatural thriller set during the Ming Dynasty and played out in the shadows the Great Wall of China.

He is working on a novel set during the Enlightenment that reveals the secret history of perhaps the single most important event of modern times - the Industrial Revolution.

Justin writes historical fiction with a supernatural twist. His novels explore the spirit of our times, the underlying narrative to every culture and nation.

See Justin at Glastonbury Library on June 15 from 11am until 12:30pm. The event is free but you will need to register with library reception, email glalib@somerset.co.uk.
