THE feel good factor comes to Ilminster Arts Centre on Friday, August 2 with a return visit from the hugely popular Pete Allen Jazz Band.
Pete is one of the UK’s top performers on clarinet, and this will be his third visit to Ilminster - his last gig at the Arts Centre sold out so concert goers are being advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
Pete’s band, first formed in 1978, has become one of the best-known ‘trad’ bands in the country, making numerous appearances on television and radio as well as performing at prestigious jazz festivals and clubs around the world.
The band are renowned for their exciting and entertaining repertoire of happy traditional jazz. It’s a sound that everyone can enjoy and understand being a combination of well-played music with professional presentation.
This gig will be a must not only for traditional jazz fans but also for anyone who enjoys feel-good, uplifting music being performed live in an intimate, low key venue.
