VOLUNTEERS from the Morland Community Hub hosted a car boot sale to raise funds.

On Sunday (July 21) members of the community set up stalls and sold items to raise money for the Morland Community Hub.

There was a bric-a-brac stall, jewellery and woodwork stall and a tombola on the day as well as homemade cakes and refreshments.

The event was the first car boot sale hosted by the Morland Community Hub in Highbridge and Jane Macpherson, organiser of the event, said more events are planned for the future.

She said: "It was the hub's first car boot and we hope to do more.

"Many local people attended on foot, as a new activity for the area.

"It was a great event and we would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us on the day.

"We are looking for more groups who would like to use the Morland Hall on a regular basis and would encourage anyone who would like to host an event here to get in touch.

"It is a great space which should be utilised by the community."

If you would be interested in holding an event at the hall and would like more information call 01278 782766 or visit morlandcommunityhub.org.uk and fill in an online booking form.
