WHO could resist an evening of Frank Sinatra’s most famous and best-loved songs, performed by one of the UK’s best Sinatra tribute acts?

Fred Gardner will be treating the audience at Ilminster Arts Centre to just that, supported by the always excellent Craig Milverton Trio with Martin Dale on tenor sax.

Fred first performed live as Frank Sinatra on ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes and was asked to come back to perform on the Christmas edition in the same year.

Fred has since performed on the Spanish version of the show as a special UK guest singer.

He has also performed on Channel 5’s Night Fever show and has appeared on CBS television in the USA, as well as numerous theatrical productions, including Strictly Sinatra in Dublin, and The Sinatra Show at Royal Leamington Spa.

Fred’s ability to sing and talk like Sinatra has been described as “uncanny” by the Sinatra Music Society.

Michael Aspel said:“I thought it was a Sinatra record playing when you were singing.”

Tom O’Connor, comedian, said: “I thought that was Sinatra himself on stage.”

See Fred Gardner on August 23 at 8pm at Ilminster Arts Centre

Tickets for this unique evening are £20 (or £35 with an Arts Centre’s home-cooked pre-performance suppers). To book visit Ilminster Arts Centre in person or call the box office on 01460 54973.
