BIG names are set to play a charity football game in South Somerset soon.

The Arsenal FC Charity XI will be facing off against a charity from Chard, Single Yellow Rose.

The clash will take place on August 11 at the home of Chard Town FC.

Currently, comedian Russell Howard, actor Ralph Little, and former Arsenal forward Omer Riza have been confirmed to be taking part.

The full squad list for the Arsenal team has not yet been announced.

Single Yellow Rose was a charity set up by Lee and Daisy Hutchings after their daughter Belle was stillborn.

This is just the latest in a long list of fundraisers carried out by the group.

The charity squad has been preparing for the stand-off, scoring victories in the friendly games during the run-up to the big day.

Mrs Hutchings said: "Considering they have never played as a team before apart from in training they did us proud and played incredibly.

"Feeling slightly emotional that this team has come together because of Belle. She shines bright for them.

"Thank you so much to everyone involved.

"Thank you to Chard rangers for letting us use the pitch, changing rooms and kit, to the referee for giving up his time to referee the match and to every single person who come down to watch."
