I HAVE not had a reason to travel to Taunton for a while but was astonished this week at the number of jams and gridlocks there in the middle of the day.
This is despite millions of pounds being spent (as in Yeovil) on schemes that barely seem to make a difference.
Chard is crying out for a traffic management system, any traffic management system! Yet funding to date? Zero pounds.
Also, drivers may wish to remind themselves of what box junctions are and their function.

A lot of my delay was as a direct result of drivers being totally aware of why you should leave them clear.
Put cameras up and dish out a few penalty notices, that will educate people.
