The opening weekend of the 10 Parishes Festival in and around Wiveliscombe culminated in a sun-baked Market Day in the town on Sunday, September 8.
The visual and performing arts festival comprises artist’s open studios and exhibitions and local creative young talent was certainly on display in the afternoon carnival procession.
This encompassed the Festival theme of reuse and recycle and was led by a giant plastic-bag lady, conceived by artist Jenni Dutton.
Live music gave great atmosphere in Jubilee Gardens as West Street was packed with food and craft stallholders who had a successful day.
Artist studios and exhibition venues were busy, including Phil Davies at Huish Moor along with Tilly Willis and Aga Karmol at Bathealton.
