MORE than 100 people packed into Boots in Taunton as the store hosted a gala night to raise funds for charity.
On Thursday (September 12) visitors were treated to glasses of fizz, free makeovers and beauty advice and discounts off cosmetics.
They also had the chance to win beauty hampers in a raffle which were donated from beauty counters across the store and businesses in Taunton.
Chris Dixon, who attended the event with his wife Sam, said: "We have loved this event in Taunton.
"I think there should be more events like this in Taunton as it brings the community together.
"The staff here have done a great job and people have been having a great time.
"They have been fundraising for some great charities and have made a real difference by hosting this event."
Visitors were also given a free goody bag including a gift from No7 worth £28.
Businesses which supported the event included The Castle Hotel, Kudos, Hearn's of Taunton, Browns and Co, Be Creative, Ask Italian and Afribox.
Sandy Blackmore, manager of Boots in Taunton, said the event was a big success and raised more than £1,500 for charity.
She said: "It has been amazing night and I would like to thank all of the businesses who contributed and to everyone who attended."
