BOMB disposal experts were called to a Taunton cemetery after an old grenade was found in a bag.
Police cordoned off part of a cemetery next to Musgrove Park Hospital in Wellington Road on Thursday (October 4) after an old grenade was found in a bag along with tools.
Wellington Road was briefly closed while bomb disposal experts examined the grenade.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "We were advised explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) were at Taunton cemetery after an old grenade was found in a bag along with tools.
"A small cordon/ road closure had been in place while they examined it but it has been found to be inert and the cordon will be lifted imminently."
