A MAN has been jailed for six months for possessing a knife in a public place.
Dean Anthony Staples, 37, of no fixed address, was sent to prison for six months after admitting the offence at Taunton Magistrates' Courts yesterday (Wednesday).
Staples, who originally pleaded not guilty, was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
He also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, for which he received no separate penalty.
