A NIGHT of scary Hallowe’en fun is coming to Chard, and bringing a charity boost with it.
On Thursday, October 31, the town centre will be transformed into a spooky celebration complete with a witches coven and a pumpkin carving competition.
Last year’s Hallowe’en fun was thrown into doubt after a lack of shops signing up to take part, but became a great success after being taken over by local business owner Kelly Leigh.
This year, the Chard Town Team will be running the annual attraction once more, and the members of Kelly Leigh’s School of Dance will put putting on a display in the high street.
The event will run from 6pm to 8pm.
Wristbands for this event are available in advance from Tesco, Kelly Leigh School of Dance, Emery’s, Saska Cafe, and the Guildhall.
Tickets are £1.50 per child with proceeds going to the mayor’s chosen charities - Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society and MIND South Somerset.
