FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a chimney fire in Bridgwater.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 7.30pm on Thursday (November 21) to Bath Road following a call from a member of the public reporting a fire in his chimney.
One fire engine from Bridgwater was sent to the scene.
On arrival the incident commander confirmed that the fire inside the chimney was well alight and got to work to extinguish the fire using chimney rods and a stirrup pump.
Once the fire was out and made safe, advice was given to the occupier before handing the incident back.
